Our value of the month is Care

OUR VISION

We endeavour at Birchen Coppice to give every child the opportunity to achieve his or her maximum potential in all areas of school life by learning through confidence within a supportive setting.

At Birchen Coppice Primary School, each child deserves to achieve success and make a positive contribution in a safe and healthy environment.

  • We wish to foster in every child a positive attitude towards the learning process and, in particular, to help them to develop lively enquiring minds enabling them to acquire the knowledge, concepts and skills relevant to their future lives in an ever-changing world.
  • Children will be treated as individuals, at the same time as being part of the school family. They will be encouraged to respect others and treat them with care. We aim to instil moral values as well as understanding, tolerance and respect for other races, religions, attitudes and ways of life, alongside understanding British Values.
  •  We want to help children raise their aspirations and realise the contribution they make can improve the world, making it a better place to live in and to benefit those less fortunate than themselves.
  • We value the involvement and support of parents and we endeavour to create an atmosphere of understanding, co-operation and partnership between school and home. We have an ’Open School’ policy where parents are encouraged to talk to staff and become active participants in the education process.

  • Our school offers a safe, nurturing, secure environment, where all children are treated fairly and equally and where high standards of behaviour are expected.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Our school motto is Reach for the Stars and Believe you can Achieve.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
As a school we work with a range of agencies to support all children.
